Create a surface-by-surface list, identify your priorities and ask providers to explain the sequence, access and number of visits. Keep cleaning, repairs and optional treatments separate in the quote.
Walk around the home
From safe ground-level positions, note the front, rear and side windows; gutter runs; wall finishes; paths; driveway; patio; and bins. Mark which areas need cleaning and which need a defect assessed. A leaking roof or detached render needs a different discussion from ordinary exterior dirt.
Choose the result that matters
If your priority is usable paving, clear gutters or clean glazing, put that first. A complete package is not the only sensible option. Ask for an itemised price so you can decide whether to carry out everything together or phase the work.
Ask about sequence
The provider should explain how work on higher surfaces, debris collection, wall runoff and final glazing fit together. Some treatments or finishing tasks may require drying time or another visit. Ask who will carry out each part and how the dates will be coordinated through WhatsApp.
Make access part of the brief
Include narrow gates, stepped gardens, extensions, fragile roofs, parking and shared areas. Mention anything that must remain accessible during the job. Agree what you will move and what the provider will protect or move, including furniture and large planters.
Use an itemised completion list
Save the included surfaces and agreed outcomes with the quote. Check the completed work against that list and raise anything unclear in the same WhatsApp conversation. The booking payment is additional to the cleaner's price; the cleaner's agreed amount is paid to them after the job.
