We’re Simon and Even, the owners of Exterior Cleaning Quotes. The idea began when we were looking for exterior-cleaning services ourselves. We wanted the information that would help us make a straightforward decision: what the work included, who we could trust and what we would pay.

Instead, we found local websites that were difficult to use and short on the details we needed. The national marketplaces brought a different frustration. We filled in a form, then found ourselves dealing with a stream of supplier follow-ups. What should have been a simple job became a long process of chasing information and managing conversations.

We knew the experience could be better.

We wanted a way to bring good, vetted and insured exterior-cleaning providers in front of UK homeowners who wanted a prompt response and a fair price. Useful information up front. A clear comparison. A booking that was easy to understand.

That is why we created exteriorcleaningquotes.com. The whole journey runs through WhatsApp: the first enquiry, photographs, three quotes, choosing a cleaner, booking, payment links and updates. The aim is to make getting the outside of your home cleaned feel like one well-organised conversation.

The details we wished we could find.

Our own search shaped what we put on the site. A window-cleaning quote should say whether it includes the frames and sills. A driveway quote should explain any finishing work. A gutter clean should identify the runs and outlets included. Those details help you compare the actual work and judge whether the full price is fair for your job.

The same thinking shapes our provider approval. Cleaners must show us their business-insurance evidence and customer reviews before joining the approved network. We want homeowners to have a sound starting point and the information to ask the right questions about their particular property.

What you can enquire about

Windows, gutters, driveways, patios, roofs, render, bins and the whole exterior of a home. You can also discuss pressure washing and conservatory cleaning. Some jobs need assessment before a method can be recommended, especially where a surface is damaged or its material is unknown.

How the money works

The booking payment is our additional fee, calculated as a percentage of the cleaner’s quote. It is not deducted from the cleaner’s cleaning price. We show the cleaner’s amount, the booking amount and the full total in WhatsApp before you choose.

Stripe processes the booking payment through the link shared in the conversation. After the completed job, you pay the cleaner their agreed price. If the job is cancelled, your booking payment is refunded in full.

A UK focus, with the postcode checked

The marketplace is designed for homeowners in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Ask about the service and your full postcode in WhatsApp so provider availability can be confirmed for your actual job. A city page is a useful local starting point, rather than a promise that every service is available at every address.

What to ask about an approved provider

Providers must show us their business insurance and customer reviews before approval to join the network. An application is reviewed before the provider is confirmed as approved. Approval and suitability for a particular job are separate questions: the chosen provider should still explain their relevant experience, proposed method, access plan and the work included in their quote. Ask about the evidence that matters for your surface and the specific task before booking.

A clean should not be sold as a repair, and a generic method should not replace a material-specific assessment. We encourage a written scope so the result and any limits are clear.

Local facts you can trace

Our city guides link practical property advice to council, heritage and housing sources. Pricing benchmarks have a separate, transparent calculation method. Official population and housing statistics remain available as optional background on our data page, with their dates and geographic boundaries.

We do not turn a census count into a claimed number of cleaners, a national estimate into a measured local price, or illustrative imagery into a completed-job photograph. The aim is useful information you can check and bring into your quote conversation.
