The short answer
Price a detached home by its actual surfaces and access, including each elevation and separate structure. A larger plot does not automatically mean every wall, roof, path or outbuilding belongs in one cleaning quote.
Build a surface inventory
Walk around the property at ground level and list the surfaces you want assessed. Name the front, rear and side elevations, then garages, conservatories and outbuildings separately. For windows, identify glazed doors and rooflights as well as ordinary windows. For gutters, include extension and porch runs. The inventory should describe what you want, rather than asking providers to interpret “everything outside”.
Measure distinct paved areas
Use approximate length and width for the driveway, main patio, paths and steps, splitting irregular spaces into simple sections if useful. Identify different materials and known coatings rather than combining them into a single area figure. A provider may need to confirm measurements before a firm quote. Explain which sections matter most if you want a phased proposal instead of all the work at once.
Explain access on every side
Open space at the front does not prove the rear is equally accessible. Show slopes, gates, narrow routes, planted areas and any conservatory beneath upper work. State parking restrictions and available outside supplies, then let the provider confirm their requirements. If part of the property cannot be inspected from your photographs, ask whether an assessment visit is needed before the method and price are fixed.
Agree the order of a combined clean
When several services are included, ask who coordinates them and how already-cleaned surfaces will be protected from later work. Roof or gutter work may affect the areas below; paving finishing can require a separate arrangement. There is no useful universal sequence without knowing the tasks. The quote should identify the order, number of visits and any conditions that change the plan.
Review a complete price breakdown
Ask for the cleaner’s work to be itemised by surface or service and optional treatments to be separated. The marketplace adds its percentage booking fee to the cleaner’s quote and shows the customer total before you choose. Confirm the payment link and appointment in WhatsApp. After completion, use the inventory to check the work and pay the cleaner their agreed cleaning amount.
