The short answer
The most useful comparison is three prices for the same agreed job. Check the included surfaces, access, method, finishing work and customer total before selecting a cleaner.
Give every provider the same brief
Start with the same photographs, dimensions and access notes. If one provider prices only the front of the house while another includes the rear and extension, the totals are answering different questions. Name each area and ask for exclusions to be written out. Keep the agreed brief in your WhatsApp conversation so changes can be traced.
Separate the three payment figures
Our marketplace adds a booking fee, calculated as a percentage of the cleaner's quote. The customer total is the cleaner's price plus that fee. You pay the booking amount through a Stripe link shared in WhatsApp, then pay the cleaner's quoted amount to the cleaner after the completed job. Ask to see the full total, the booking amount and the post-job amount together before choosing.
Ask what the method will achieve
A cleaning method is useful only when it suits the surface and condition. Ask providers to explain the expected result, any remaining staining and how existing defects will be recorded. A promise of a completely new-looking surface is not a substitute for a defined scope. Where a test area is proposed, agree what happens after that test.
Compare the end of the job
Look for waste removal, the state of joints and seals, and any follow-up visit. Agree how you will check the finished work and who to message if something is missed. Save the selected quote and booking confirmation in the same conversation.
If something changes
Send the change through WhatsApp before the work is varied. If the job is cancelled, your booking payment is refunded in full. Do not treat an additional task discussed on the day as part of the original price without confirming it.
